One Thing

If there is only One Thing you can do to change your world, this is it. Untying the Sacred Bundle and bringing balance to its four chambers. This is the human heart, your Sacred Bundle. First Chamber, Sacred Waters. Second Chamber: Sacred Breath. Third Chamber, Sacred Species and Sites. And the Fourth Chamber, Sacred Story Telling. When in balance, we are in balance with Mother Earth and every nation of creation.

Untying the sacred bundle entails recognizing the interdependence and interconnectedness of all things and the importance of living in harmony with nature. It means challenging the dominant narrative of individualism and consumerism and instead embracing community and sustainability.

The process of untying the sacred bundle is ongoing and invites us to commitment and action from all individuals, not just Indigenous peoples. It involves acknowledging the harm that has taken place in the past and taking steps now and in the future towards reconciliation and healing.

Poems From the Sacred Bundle reflects the poetry of Untying the Sacred Bundle (published 2023), and is often used for reflection, meditation, focusing of intention, prayer, healing feelings of separateness from creation, and the forming of new life decisions. Each Chamber’s poetry collected here from Untying the Sacred Bundle is introduced by story, metaphor, or vision, followed by the poetry of its respective Chamber. 

Poems from The Sacred Bundle invite you to be “broken open” in order for the Four Chambers of the Heart to enter into a new covenant with Mother Earth and Creation itself.
